This is a diverse scholarship essay contest that is only available to females. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Discover Card Tribute Award
This different scholarship program is very generous so you want to apply for it! They offer 10 Discover card scholarships annually for the amount of $25,000 each and 300 scholarships of $2,500 each. You must have a GPA of 2.75 or higher, leadership experience, and write an essay about some challenge in your life that you have been able to overcome. The application deadline is June 9th. Discover is a well-known credit card company, and they strive to help students to learn good money management skills.
American Radio Relay League Foundation Scholarships
You will be hard pressed to find anything as unique as this different scholarship. It is one for those amateur radio enthusiasts that really want to have a future in this type of communication. Applications must have passed their amateur radio licensing exam to apply. They offer three unique scholarships of $1,250 each. Applications are due by February 1st. This sponsor has been around since 1973. They strive to provide information, education, and assistance to those that would like to be involved with the radio business and all it entails. This is great scholarship to apply for if you have lots of common knowledge on different topics. There are quizzes held all year long so you can go on their website and sign up for a time that is right for you. Each quiz has 500 questions about movies, books, history, and so much more. The amount of time it takes you to complete the quiz as well as your accuracy will determine your score. The CKSF scholarship amounts vary as do the dates when the funds will be allocated to your college. This sponsor continues to strive to help encourage people to learn about a variety of things in life.
